A little about me..

Hi Everyone! I am from Newport, RI. A few of my passions include reading and writing, my teaching career and my students, social justice education and initiatives, helping to better my community, going to the beach, surfing, and basketball. I just completed my second year as an ESL teacher at Rogers High School in Newport. I am taking this course in my path to my Masters in TESOL. I have also been working at the Black Pearl Restaurant for 17 years. Looking forward to working and learning with all of you : )

  1. Hi Nick! Thank you so much for sharing your connection with Dr. Cook today in class. I will admit.. it made me a little teary to remember her and the positive impact she had on those she taught. It was also really cool to chat with you in the breakout room and get to know a little bit more about where and what you teach.

    1. Hi Katie! Thanks for the comment, it was great working with you in the breakout room as well. Dr. Cook was the best, I was choking up speaking about her, such an inspiration for myself and so many others. I couldn't help but write about her in my latest post. Sorry for the late response, I'm a little slow at figuring out this blog.
